Anglesey Abbey Snowdrop
The snowdrop festival has been extended until 4 March.
Due to the cold and snowy weather we’ve been experiencing, the flowers are expected to remain looking lovely for longer. Therefore we’d like to give as many of you as possible the chance to enjoy them.
The gardens open from 10am and free snowdrop tours will run at 2pm every weekday. The restaurant will also open early at 9.30am everyday with a special early bird offer. For more info visit: http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/anglesey-abbey/
Newmarket is utterly unique. It is a town with a rich, royal history where the thoroughbred racehorse is king. It is the town where horseracing, the “sport of kings”, was born some three and a half centuries ago and from where it was exported around the world.Check out the racing fixtures for 2012: http://www.newmarketracecourses.co.uk/racing/fixtures/2012-fixtures/
Punting In Cambridge
Today pleasure punting is an extremely popular pastime in Cambridge both during the Summer and increasingly the Winter months. The resultant traffic sometimes causes congestion at the height of the season and the spectacle of many first timers attempting to get to grips with the technique whilst trying not to fall in the river is often a source of much amusement.
